I have no doubt that you will out-ride this ill wind and make good come out of it. We have a saying in our no-drop riding group: "Ride your own ride. Ride today's ride. And I promise you, you will never ride alone." Reading your blog brings that strongly to mind. Only you can ride this ride, and it has to be ridden one day at a time. But we can all promise you that you will never have to ride any part of it alone. Stay strong, Judy!

Ali "female singlespeeder" WilkersonAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1129614117036501975.post-29662250897693083792008-10-27T08:33:00.000-05:002008-10-27T08:33:00.000-05:00Hey Judy,Glad to hear you are being good and obeyi...Hey Judy,

Glad to hear you are being good and obeying orders. This is the only time in your life when you can lay around and not be called lazy--take advantage of it! It's also a great time to eat whatever you want and not think about calories-yeah! Ken's doctor told him he had to be absolutely selfish during his recovery and that everyone else would be ok. That goes for you to. I'm glad the CT is promising and you should be almost done with antibiotics. Keep resting and taking care of yourself. Hopefully we will see you soon! Big hugs from College Station,

MichelleMichelleLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17306448668817125457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1129614117036501975.post-73234761667366005972008-10-25T08:49:00.000-05:002008-10-25T08:49:00.000-05:00Hi,Bit I'm hearing great news about you. I have been checking the blog daily.

Love you!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1129614117036501975.post-74156109404078292732008-10-24T21:44:00.000-05:002008-10-24T21:44:00.000-05:00Judy and Jurgen,I have been out of touch for awhil...Judy and Jurgen,

I have been out of touch for awhile. Since I last wrote to you, I was in Nebraska visiting my Mom. Things have been hectic since I came back, and I am just now checking back with your blog. I have shed lots of tears reading your hospital progress -- knowing how hard the last three weeks have been. But, both of you are damn hard fighters, and ya' just have to keep plodding ahead.

My thoughts are with both of you. I know how hard this fight is. My Mom sends her prayers as well (nothing like an ovarian cancer "sister" to keep you in her thoughts).

So -- did you ever think that farting and pooping were one of the most important parts of your daily life? Only until it doesn't work right do we appreciate the silly things of daily living. Now you know why I'm a "butts and guts" doctor -- it's not so unglamorous as you used to think, huh! :) Just kidding.

My motto is: FART FREELY.

Love to you both,

Leann
(and Terry, too)

P.S. - Judy, if you like pudding, you might think about using instant pudding and making it with Ensure instead of milk. It will add some good calories, protein and fats to your diet. Use it for snacks (don't substitute it for a meal). Also, if malts or shakes sound good -- substitute Ensure for the milk, add ice cream, berries, etc.... Throw in some protein powder as well. Even little bits of extra things help boost your caloric recovery. Cheers!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1129614117036501975.post-89691408230029861922008-10-24T09:34:00.000-05:002008-10-24T09:34:00.000-05:00Hi Judy, Now that I've been back from Interbike fo...Hi Judy,
Now that I've been back from Interbike for 3 weeks, and things have settled in to normal again, I figured I'd check your blog. Boy, a lot has happened while I was in Las Vegas. You didn't miss much by not going this year. The only new thing fun to play with was the electric Dura Ace. It's good to hear you're back at home. Don't know when I'll get up your way next, it was 42 degrees here this morning. Must have been kinda frosty up your way. Next time I'm up I hope you'll be eating Pizza again.
Tom D.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1129614117036501975.post-39821357422975270292008-10-24T03:20:00.000-05:002008-10-24T03:20:00.000-05:00Judy, that's great news and should really help to ...Judy, that's great news and should really help to boost your morale. Do you like chocolate shakes, avocados or any other calorie-dense foods? Now's the time! Now is also the time to pull out that box of photographs from the hall closet that need to be put in albums or pick up those books you haven't had time to read or just watch a few good movies or spend a lot of time on the phone catching up with friends and family. Sounds like things are going very well overall. Enjoy your downtime. You'll be back in the saddle in no time. cindyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1129614117036501975.post-2689323524872255292008-10-23T15:55:00.000-05:002008-10-23T15:55:00.000-05:00Great to hear the ct scan looks so good.
