Why the Redwood Forest slideshow?
Judy had always loved trees, and in 2008 we spent some time among the California Redwoods. Some of the ingredients in Judy's chemo cocktail were derived from trees (not Redwoods but Yews). We always knew that Judy loved the trees, and the trees got their chance to repay her affection.

Chemo Round #5 Scheduled for Tuesday
We just received word from Dr. Phillips' office that Judy will have her fifth chemo treatment tomorrow, on Tuesday 3/3. We really didn't expect this since Judy has not been able to shake whatever respiratory infection we both seem to have, and this has been going on for several weeks now. So, the surprise was great that everything is a "go."
Over the weekend, Judy and I were in a tiny place north-west of Dallas, St. Jo. We officiated a big mountain bike race on a ranch, and it was great to see how many of the racers came up to Judy to give her a hug and see how she's doing. Our extended mountain bike family gives Judy a lot of strength and energy, even if working the event was obviously not as relaxing as sitting in an easy-chair at home. Judy was good and didn't overdo it, and she even took a few breaks so that she wouldn't discharge her batteries.
Maybe it was all those good wishes and positive thoughts from the weekend that boosted her blood levels! We sure would like to think so.

It was great seeing you both yesterday. I am sorry you are both still under the weather.
I wish good thoughts your way.
Judy...I'll be thinking of you tomorrow while I give the wonderful HS kids their taks test.
Hope everything goes well.

Hi Judy!
Sending you a big hug for today's "adventure in chemo". :>
I'm still dragging from whatever I caught out in Califonia-better sleeping though codeine!
We're back to inches and inches of snow, so to think of officiating now/here just makes me chuckle. Temps have been in the single digits all week-and will continue like that for a few more days. Wood stove humming along.
I have switched from knitting to crocheting an afghan for a wedding present. My friend is an avid cyclist/racer..so it won't surprise you when I tell you the colors are those of the UCI flag :>
Hugs!
Cindi
Judy it was so good to see you this weekend and give you more than a virtual hug (Jurgen, too). Had fun sitting in the car and chatting.
I'll be sending some extra good thoughts your way since today is a chemo day.
See you in a couple of weeks at Wacko.
HUGS! - Kathy
Judy,
We are glad to hear that everything is on schedule for you and that you are progressing. We have both been sick and it feels like we've had this annoying little cough since January! Nasty bug!
We will continue to pray for strength in all areas as you take the next step. We are with you and Lord is with you with every step of this incredible journey. Love, love, love you, friend.
Stacy & Andy
