Why the Redwood Forest slideshow?

Judy had always loved trees, and in 2008 we spent some time among the California Redwoods. Some of the ingredients in Judy's chemo cocktail were derived from trees (not Redwoods but Yews). We always knew that Judy loved the trees, and the trees got their chance to repay her affection.

No more antibiotics!

More good news: Judy's last CT scan revealed that the two accumulations of fluid in her abdomen have finally dissipated, and that means that she no longer needs her nightly time on the antibiotics drip. What great news! The daily routine had become quite old, and having the two small lines hanging out of her chest area was a real nuisance in regard to taking a shower and sleeping. Those lines were removed yesterday.

Next week Thursday, Judy will got to the hospital for the installation of her chemo port. The implant procedure is a minor day-surgery affair, and Candace will come up from Midland to take Judy home after the procedure since I'll be in Germany.

Judy, this is great news!!! So glad the antibiotic hassle is over, and results of tests coming in are so encouraging. You look great and sounds like you had a fun Thanksgiving. Take care, and know that you are still in our thoughts and prayers.

Love ya... Judy and Doug

Yea! Good riddance to those antibiotics! You keep fighting girl and we'll keep praying. I bet it will be so much better to have that port; we'll be thinking about you on Thursday. For minor things or not, you're always in our prayers and on our minds. Love you!

You go Judy!!! Awesome news about the antibiotics coming to an end and the lines being removed!!

If Texas were a tad closer to VT, I'd offer to come and give you a hand while Jürgen is out of town too...guess I'll just have to keep knitting vicariously with you!!

Supposedly we're due for some snow tomorrow- but if it didn't make it this far-no complaints from me! Went biking yesterday and the wind was so strong-I probably could have made better time pushing the dang thing!

Love ya,
Cindi

Gute Reise Jürgen!

Judy and Jurgen,

I am finally at an Internet site that I don't have to pay for in New Zealand, and am catching up with your blog. It sound like things are going well for you Judy. I know it's tough, but keep hanging in there. I'm sure you are beautiful with less hair!

I've been thinking of you both.

Cheers!

Leann
